Essentials of Social Media Marketing Wrapped

    Over the past few months, we have been reading the textbook "Essential of Social Media Marketing" by Michelle Charello which walks the reader through just about every prominent social media platform that is used today, as well as, other important social media topics. Some of the platforms covered throughout the book include Facebook, Instagram, X, Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube. This textbook also covers additional topics such as how to create a social media marketing campaign, influencer marketing in social media, employee advocacy, social selling and even how to create your personal brand.

    This textbook would be very beneficial to anyone looking to leverage these platforms and tactics to promote their brand or product. The digital textbook also includes many other features such as interactive quizzes, lecture slides, case studies and additional resources tailed toward instructors. In each individual chapter the author breaks down the platform or tactic into how to market on the platform, the platform's algorithm, advertising on the platform, response from Covid-19 and even expert sessions with platform experts. This would provide to be very beneficial for any students looking to learn about social media marketing and advertising. This textbook does a very good job covering these platforms in depth and providing resources that allow anyone to be educated on this topic and gain experience working with them.

    I enjoyed learning about each of these social platforms in depth, specifically the marketing and advertising strategies or campaigns. I hope that this blog provided a broad overview of this textbook and maybe even influenced you to take a look.
